The Heels have 11 commitments to this point with three of them being in arguably the top 5 pitchers in the nation (Matt Harvey, Rick Porcello, Madison Bumgarner)

Also of note for some of you on here are Logan Munson and Brett Thomas, who are both of Columbia, SC.

Of course that's really impossible to know at this point, however the cases of Daniel Bard and Andrew Miller both play very favorably into our hand here. They both spurned the draft out of high school despite being extremely highly thought of and came to school where they turned themselves into first rounders and millionaires.

For some reason I think USC will survive. Maybe his name is Justin Smoak.

Sorry Diamond Dog, and here I thought this was a good place to talk about baseball....last I checked recruiting is part of the sport. If you started a thread about Georgia, I wouldn't feel the need to chime in about it, but hey that's just me. Silly me for talking about college baseball on a college baseball board.

sorry about that, to be honest even though I'm a premium member I never even look at the other boards. The mods can move it if they'd like.

congrats on your premium status, - as long as your phenomenal recruits don't have to play USC then you'll be fine and might play into June for a week........

I just love that argument...yes you guys owned us...you also played us on your own field every year and we were playing you when you were one of the best teams in the nation without doubt. Now, honestly, had you guys been sent to Chapel Hill this past season, what do you think the results would have been? I'd love to see the two teams play every year, but it needs to be a home and home...then we'll know someting about playing each other.

^You all had that opportunity to play us every year in what was supposed to be an annual Battle of the Border but your coach backed out of it after one meeting - in a game that we won on a neutral field.

I believe there was a reason we hosted those games.

Sorry dude, but going to Omaha once in 15 years is great and UNC had a great team, but it just isn't going to impress a South Carolina fan or a Clemson fan, or a UGA fan or an LSU fan, or....

    Well said.

But the TarHeals do not play any non-conference road games anymore, except against teams ranked out of the RPI Top 150.

What does a Gamecock have room to talk about anything for? South Carolina hasn't won a title in anything except like Equestrian. Ok, they made the CWS a few times, but you know what? Their poo still stinks.
